As a senior in high school, a friend and I decided to make a graphic novel together after being inspired by Bryan Lee O’Malley’s ‘Scott Pilgrim’ series. Neither of us had ever attempted anything like this, so it took a lot of trial-and-error. I illustrated all 115 pages and self-published it through Amazon.
While it’s far from perfect, it still took quite a bit of work and to this day I’m proud of the result! Holding the printed book after working on it for over a year was a feeling like no other.
